Application Period

• 4 months before the VISA expiry date (Registration update around end of January / end of July)
  ※ The Gwangju Immigration Office restricts individual visits by students. Please refrain individual visits.

Visa extension application eligibility

• For undergraduate and graduate students advancing to a higher degree program (e.g., from Bachelor's (D-2-2) to Master's (D-2-3), or from Master's (D-2-3) to Doctoral (D-2-4))
• Students whose visa is set to expire at the end of March or September each year. ※ Please note that the expiration date of the visa may vary for each individual, and all international students must apply for a visa extension before their visa expires.

How to Apply

• 1) Online application service : We are going to provide a new online services for Alien registration and VISA Extension from March 6th(Mon)
• 2) Group Submission (In-person submission):Submit to the designated staff of the OIA during the specified period.
  ※ Information regarding the schedule for group submissions and the document submission location will be provided separately each semester through the official website and email.

• Seeking a job immediately after graduation(D-10) are exempted from the score system for the first time
