A. No you cannot. If you take a leave of absence, then your D-2 visa will be canceled. You must leave the country within 30 days from the date of applying for a leave of absence, and if there are any reasons for not being able to leave the country right away(such as illness/accident), you must report to the immigration office.

A. It is allowed exceptionally. Please check with Gwangju Immigration Office individually. (1345 without area code)

A. It is not possible to extend/change the visa in principle except in some cases in which you majored with a specific department designated by the Ministry of Justice. In this case, please check with Gwangju Immigration Office.

A. It usually takes about 6-8 weeks from the date of registration. (Reissuance: + 2 weeks)
